Indicator suddenly stopped working, what do I do?

I recently had a indicator developed for me which would send me signals and it was working well. The day I decide to buy a vps, it stops working, though I don't think that's the cause of the problem. I go to my terminal to see 'your licence has expired'. What does this mean and how do I get my indicator to work again?
