I registered to this portal via email (Gmail), but now I need to change my password, but I don't know my current password since I registered through Gmail.

How can I change my password?

If you registered here on the forum by using google or facebook so you need to change your password from the google/facebook related password to the normal/native one. Read post about HowTo.

You are the totally wrong!
The users need to know his/her current password to use your advice. But OP does not know his current/native forum password because he registered here by using google.
