At the moment it alerts each bar, instead of only when the crosses occur.

What is the calculation based on thanks.

I've been watching it for hours and it does not seem to repaint once the candle has closed, which is what I'm interested in.

Wait for at least one candle close, then see how price is at the opening of the next candle.
