Strategy Tester "Use date" option not working!!!

I am not able to test the data on the selected dates when I enable the "Use date" option on the strategy tester, it always test from one month before actual date, and if I select a range older from actual date then it even does not do anything, how can I enable the testing from the selected dates?

just to clarify, my question is more like where I can download historical data for back testing? I though meta trader 4 will provide such data, but I see it does not

you can fix this in MT4 - go to tools --- then History center and download data according to your need, and it will do exactly what you want. I had a same problem and I fixed by this way. thanks
