MQl4 Timeframes for trading and strategy testing is limited to 7 periods only?

Hi everyone,

I have just switched to MQL4 coming from MQL5 only to be shocked by few things that's MQL4 limited to.

For example the limitation of viewing charts in the usual Timeframes of MQL5, and having to go around that with using the Period Converter.

Which is not bad, but i don't understand why MQL4 doesn't have the full range of all Timeframes.

The problem now is this.

I need to have the H3 Timeframe for my EA to function correctly and i also need to back test it. But MQL4 allow for a Period drop down menu with only 7 periods.

M1, M5, M15, M30

H1, H4

Daily.

How do i enable the rest of Timeframes and how do i back test with strategy tester, which follows what this drop down menu allow.

Appreciate your assistance.
