"Hey dude" is considered disrespectful when you don't know the person well. And especially in this case when you expect the other party to do something for you for free.
Also, the code was publish in 2018 and the author has not been active on the site since then. I doubt he is going to answer or even bother updating the code just for you.
So, "dude", I suggest going to the Freelance section and hiring someone to code it according to your requirements.
