Can you please tell me: after 3 stages of optimisation, do I need to enter the best values of the parameters obtained at each stage into the EA parameters when setting them on the chart?
Did your Expert Advisor show a positive result?

While optimisation is going on (two days already, and besides, the second stage was broken by ~70%, I'll have to run it first :( ). If you want - I can report on the results (I will run it on a demo account opened specially for this EA (the broker specifies/describes both swaps and commissions, so I think the results will be close to real ones).

Due to such a long time of optimisation, there is another question:
Should the Expert Advisor be optimised on the entire available history (On the M5 timeframe, for which the optimisation is performed, the history is available from 20.07.2005, and for M1 - from 17.05.2016), or can a shorter period (for example, the last year) be used? (As soon as I think about the fact that optimisation should be done every weekend, I feel sick, and my wife will kick me out because of the computer buzzing in the headboard for two or three nights :D )
And thank you for the hint with the settings file: I didn't think about this possibility, though I knew about its existence. :)
