I don't use MT4 but I watched the video, the link to which appears in the source code. In the video, the Author sets the upper line so that the Alert triggers after price breaks the "top" line from below and then retouches the line from above (and vice versa for the "bottom" line). This is consistent with typical breakout entry conditions. Although the Author appears to use an Auto Regression Channel (presumably to determine trend bias) in the posted image, that channel is not included in the video.
