Can you build an expert advisor in MT4 or is that only available in MT5?

If you have a Mt4-terminal you'll make a mt4 robot, indi or script, with an mt5 terminal you'll make ... ok?

Yes, for both! "Expert Advisors" have been possible in all MetaTrader versions since at least Version 3.

how do I get the current version of meta editor? I am trying to make an ea but when I use the wizard the list of options to choose from isn't coming up and when I pull up the options under tools there isn't an expert advisor tab.
