Is trading by instincts not same as trading with emotions?

I have heard traders say “I didn’t know what came over me, I just saw myself taking the move, I couldn’t help it, I guess it was on instinct”. In such instances, you are not thinking- and when you think you are ingeniously trading by instincts, your emotions are well seated in the cockpit piloting your trades. In the forex, you can only give what you have- you can only trade with what you know, if you take a step that you yourself don’t understand, carelessly convincing yourself that it was prompted by instincts, that, that strange particular action you just carried out was incited by reflex- then you are almost gambling. When this happens know that your emotions are overriding you. Something you do involuntary while trading in the forex most times is not backed by reason but that quick default response which you are not intelligently responsible for, could be the impact of stray emotions corrupting your tr
