The first thing is to find an Expert Advisor (EA) you want to trade.
Then copy it in C:\Program Files\YOUR MT4 BROKER\experts\
If this EA is based on non-standard indicators, verify that these indys are located in: C:\Program Files\YOUR MT4 BROKER\experts\indicators
After re-start your platform, open the pair chart you want the EA trade, open the "navigator" window and double click on the expert advisor, set the input, check "allow live trading" in the common tab. Click "ok". Then push the big "Expert Advisor" button at the top of your platform window. Now the face at the top right of your chart must have a smile. If so, the EA is ready to trade.
