Is it necessary for a developer to have a full and a demo version of their product in market? Iv'e noticed some people add a full version and a demo version of the same at market. I thought market already has a feature for downloading demo from the full product automatically.

It's not mandatory. It's a commercial good practice.

But metaquotes already allows people to download demo from the full product so why again upload demo as a separate product?

In some cases the Strategy Tester does not work well enough to allow a full demonstration of the product.  For example,  buttons do not/did not work in the Strategy Tester,  a product that relies on buttons will not work correctly in the Strategy Tester so a demo is no good.
