Automated Solutions based on Signals Market

Twitter can predict stocks movement

Can MQ predicts forex movement based on the position opened in the Signals Market?

Calculations and weights can be assigned to the signals and a results can be computed that can predict the current trend of a symbol.

Will MQ come out with this? myfxbook had something similar but it is very basic.

Hi doshur,

There's a realistic solution based on Artificial Intelligence. This problem can be solved by reading information from all these sources (Twitter, newspapers, Buffet, Soros, social revolutions) and capturing this knowledge into an ontology of "market sentiment". In computer science and information science, an ontology formally represents knowledge as a set of concepts within a domain, using a shared vocabulary to denote the types, properties and interrelationships of those concepts.

To make things easy, this "Colective Intuition" ontology could be encoded in a standard language, such as OWL, RDF, etc., so that EAs can query that knowledge through something like the SPARQL language. Complex questions about what people think could be made that way:

"What do Europeans think will happen with Gold in Q1 2014?"

"Where are the big inversions going this year?", etc.

"When is the World economy going to collapse according to illuminati?"

Of course, MQL5 should publish and maintain that info openly, or you could pay for querying it as a separate service.

Doshur, I see good chances that MQ will come out with the statistics about trading signals position opened (simple as this, not predictions, as you refer), since this is a feature that any competitor can/must offer.

This because in my opinion, no human or technology can predict stocks movement or even trends. The best we can do is delivery chances.

In this sense, Twitter and MQ will face at least two big problem to figure out stock movement chances: noise and news.

Anyway, thinking as a Big Data concept, it would be nice have such statistics data to we create our own predictions.
