Automated trading other than Meta Trader

is there any other trading platform out there which allow automated trading like metatrader EA?

is yes, which one?

and why there are not as popular as MT4?

Not all are for forex :

-Strategy runner ( seems good... the expert is hosted on the server but hard to get hands on it)

-Neo Ticker seems to be the best and most complete platform there is a demo version not so many brokers you can connect

-VT Trader CMS forex platform has alot of stuff and is still under developpment... your are tied to this broker

-MCFX or Multi Charts still under developpment

-Amibroker let's you backtest strategies not sure if you can route orders

-Wealth lab only NO FX only stocks,

-ninja trader

others are only charting software I think esignal, visual charts....

Yes, there is an API available (free) for InteractiveBrokers.

Both futures and forex trading is possible, but unless your broker is Fidelity, you will need to buy available 'add-ons' - the API for starters...
