Max No Of Instruments/Markets

Hi all,

 

May i know what is the maximum number of instrument or markets can be loaded into 1 MT4 account before it starts to have problem?

I'm Not sure what you mean.

Surely the broker loads the instrument/markets into the MT4 platform?

This depends on many factors, such as

  1. how many ticks your broker sends per instrument, 
  2. how many charts you will have loaded
  3. how much history you will load into each chart
  4. how many indicators/EAs you intend to run in each terminal
  5. how much computation each indicator/EA is doing.  You may have 1 EA that does a lot of calculations every tick and it might out-computate 10 EAs that are simple.

    Thank you for the comments. with the above, is there any indication by MT4 once u exceed by a certain amount of markets, and MT4 indicates that the account is overloaded or it will just shut down?
