Crosshair won't stick

When I hit Ctrl+F to activate crosshair for my cursor, it will only stay until I click the mouse on the screen and then it will revert back to the pointer mode.

 Why is that? Why doesn't it stay that way?

It's normal and will not be changed. Also try to use middle mouse button instead Ctrl+F.

you don't click the crosshair, you drag it to measure (starting bar time/price) to change bars, change points, final price.
