Educated guess:
'processed within' = the time taken to run the EA through the ticks (after 'collecting' and 'using').
'total time' = 'Collecting...' + 'Using...' + 'processed within'
Can it be that 1747ms is the netto backtest (1st to last tick) time while 5834 includes the preparation time of e.g. the tickfile creation or/and loading, output of the tester results..?
( What were your results? Could we become jealous? ;)
Or perhaps CPU time vs Clock time.

Hi,
Not something very important, but I am curious, and as I can't easily find an answer, I ask the community.
Is there someone who knows the exact meaning of these numbers in Strategy tester Journal tab, at the end of a test :
2014.12.18 18:11:43.383 GBPUSD,M1: 1577234 tick events (1578234 bars, 3150743 bar states) processed within 1747 ms (total time 5834 ms)
What's the difference between the 2 ?
