Will EA work during sleep/hibernate mode on for laptop/desktop ?
absolutely not
When in sleep, everything will stop working.

Sleep is a low power state that cuts power consumption dramatically, but returns to service rather quickly when the laptop is woken. Hibernation saves your current work to disk. It will stay there even if the battery is completely drained.
