should ex4 file be active right away?

I downloaded the files from this post (post1) because I wanted to start working with it. I set up a new demo account with my old broker so the MT4 is untouched and clean. I put the EX4 files in experts and reloaded the platform. But they won't show up on the platform. Is there suppose to be a delay? I don't remember this from the past. What am I missing?
 
Where is you put it? Locations have changed. Data Structure in MetaTrader 4 Build 600 and Higher - MQL4 Articles
 
In experts (see my post) there are no sub directories.
 

Right I get it, there is a second directory (under FILE - OPEN DATA FOLDER) and I put them in there. They are grey though and can't put on the chart.

 

I found it. They shouldn't be in experts but in indicators. I think I got it working. Thanks!

(I have build 610 and I'm confused why it would set up a different directory on your system... but that's just me needing a lot to learn)

nope, even before B600 there was a separate folder for indicators
