- ExtDeviation: The percentage or pip value used to filter out small swings. If set to 10 pips, for example, the indicator will ignore movements smaller than that amount and only show significant changes in direction.
- ExtBackstep: Specifies the number of bars/candles that must form after a high or low is formed for the indicator to definitively confirm that point as the start of a new trend. If set to 3, the ZigZag will wait for three additional closes before confirming direction.
- ExtDepth: This setting allows the ZigZag to continue to look for highs and lows beyond the set values. For example, if set to 10, the ZigZag will search for highs or lows until 10 bars/candles are found beyond the specified depth.
