re-post [Q]problem viewing exported tester htm file

Hello (again) MQL4 community. I am a newbie in search for an answer.

I am trying to export the strategy tester report and I am having problems opening/viewing the output file. I am using the Oanda  - metatrader demo account. 

Please  see the image below for explanation. 


 Basically 1. I right click  on the report and 2. save with filename with the popup window. then 3. the file is not found in google chrome and 4. does not exist in the location where it was saved or in 4. 


Also note in 2. that there are previous attempts that are saved as HTM files but appear to be locked.


What is wrong? How can I solve the problem?

I recommend that you save files/reports to your desk-top. That way it'll be easy to locate by opening them from the desk-top.

It sounds like a typical UAC issue.  Simplest solution is to re-install MT4 to a directory other than Program Files,  for example: C:\MT4-Installs\
