Multiple connections to the same account

I attempted something new today which I am not sure how its is supposed to work. I have my PC connected to a demo MT4 accoubt and I logged into the same account with the iPhone app. No problem so far. Next I try to enter a manual trade from the iPhone. All I get is "busy" with no other message, log or alert. The trade does not execute. Google was no help.

So, can you enter trades from multiple devices onto the same account, or is the first account the active trade account and all subsequent logons are read only?

I have done so in the past using two instances of MT4 running on different computers without any problem or any terminal being considered as a "master". This may be a broker dependent issue.
