When I close MetaTrader and reopen it the layout settings have all been reset to default ones. So the toolbars, for instance, all appear on separate lines. I don't like that, it takes up a lot of space, so I have to drag them all back to the same line each time I open the application. Somebody has had this problem before https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/55506 but I found that following the fix given in that article did not work. All that happened was that my chart windows appeared tiled. Anyone have any better ideas?
- Saving screen layout...
- Layout settings not saved
- MT4 Chart settings not saving

- Do not install in \program files* on Vista/Win7
- to fix the tool bars, close the terminal, delete <terminal>\config\terminal.ini, and restart. You'll loose the placement of open charts but after that it will remember properly.
