You should look at the error number, it sounds like this . . . .
ERR_COMMON_ERROR 2 Common error. All attempts to trade must be stopped until reasons are clarified. Restart of operation system and client terminal will possibly be needed.

If a restart doesn't fix it you will need to show your code . . . what have you changed ?
RaptorUK:
There's a lot of problems around at the moment with what looks like an interplay between build 402 and later of MT4 versus certain versions of the MT4 Server software. It looks as though November 1st 2011 00:00 GMT may have been some sort of cut-off date. For example, Oanda was down completely, and Alpari UK had to do an emergency reboot of their servers. You'll find a large number of posts on the web about an "old version of server" message, starting from yesterday. (E.g. http://fxtrade.oanda.com/community/fxmessage/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=print_topic;f=50;t=000125.)If a restart doesn't fix it you will need to show your code . . . what have you changed ?
In other words, at the moment I wouldn't assume that the sudden appearance of "common error" is in any way related to MQ4 code, or is anything other than a broker problem.

Thanks for the "heads up" :-)
