Is there a way to read extern variable from running expert?

and change them?

 

Do you mean manually ? from another EA ? from a Script ? what exactly do you mean ?

Ah you mean from a script . . . should have read the post title.

 
You could do something using GlobalVariables https://docs.mql4.com/globals but only if you have access to the code for the EA.

that was not a question, i have to change the extern variables from a script! not how to change extern variables
thats why I created this thread!
 
The only way is to shutdown the terminal then modify the specific chartxx.chr file and restart the terminal.
