.ex4 files download into Meta Trader
Do not install MT4 into the Program Files directory. Install it in the root of your drive, or (better) on a second partition if you have one.

I am new to all this and usually rely on my grand-children for help!
I am trying to download an external .ex4 file into MT from the hard drive, but my laptop is declining it. Is there a straightforward way around this?
