i am a newbie and i also have a big problem with my EA. Can everyone help me?

i have one experts advice robot.
i test this robot in demo account in strategy tester .
strategy tester report is very good. BUT
then use robot in live chart in EUR/USD in demo account there report is different
so i want this robot work in strategy tester report to same work in real live account.
so how can i do ?

invent a timemachine?

serously, for how long have you tested your EA? test it for a longer timeperiod.

and remeber that you test on data that has already happened, you don't know what's going to happen tomorrow.

I test my ea a week in strategy tester and then same time i test my ea in live account, BUT both report are different .

I test my ea in different demo account(alpari, NordFX,Go Trader MT4,Ava MetaTrader......)BUT all time report is different.

so i want this robot work in strategy tester report to same work in real live account.
so how can i do ?

It's a bit like finding out that when you play blackjack at the casino, you get a different outcome than when you play at home.

- demo account perhaps uses different spread (it does for Alpari UK)

- different brokers will have different historical data, especially in fast moving markets

- demo account will always enter trade as requested and at the price you ask. live accounts are not as nice

- strategy tester does not accurately represent what actually happened in real life. it guesses from O-H-L-C, not true tick data

forward testing with a demo account is more accurate than the strategy tester

forward testing with a live account is more accurate than a demo account (use 0.01 micro lots)

(These statements reflect my understanding; I am not an expert and may be mistaken)

Note also that on forward tests the equity is not logged, so depending on your maximal strategy maximal drawdown will not be calculated correctly...

to brewmanz:

that depends what accurate means for you, in the terms of logic i think demo forward trading will be a lot more accurate then live trading. But of course accurate in that point is a bit away from realty.

From my point of view:

Use the tester to get a overview on how your strategy works and to fix the logic bugs.

Use demo forward trading to get a first overview of the real performance and to fix bugs regarding delayed trade operations/reboots/connection loss.

Use small live accounts (if possible) to verify the results from demo forward trading
