VOM - Virtual Order Management

Hello,

Does anyone know if there is EA or library for MT4 VOM. I see it in MT5 but no Virtual Order Management for MT4. Please let me know if some one can guide me to a library, EA etc which can be used to buy and sell order at same time as is done in VOM.

There should be similar MT4 code floating around, although I can't recall where I saw it.

Yap. But I am pretty sure I saw another implementation... I don't think it was in this forum though.

...whatever it is, it's still going to suffer from the same general problems afflicting all these sorts of thing, whether in MT4 or MT5 <g>. For my previous comments on the subject, see e.g. https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/125907/page2#320078.

I'd love to know what percentage of the EAs in the ATC 2010 will potentially break if run alongside other EAs or manual trading. My bet is 100%.

It's also faintly absurd that the "official guide" on writing an EA for MT5 (https://www.mql5.com/en/articles/100) creates an EA which doesn't work properly if there is another EA trading the same symbol, or if there's manual trading of the same symbol. Same seems to be true for https://www.mql5.com/en/articles/132.

 

jjc and gordon, thanks for your input. It seams like this no hedging thing for US clients does not seams to be a big issue here. I was hoping to find some mature code in this form for virtual order management. Anyway thanks for your feedback.
