How it seems I've solved the issue
Hi guys,
after a couple of hours playing around with MT4 installs I hope I've found THE file that creates the issue : terminal.ini (lies in the config folder) seems to be the file that gets corrupted when we get this kind of error message.
I run MT4 (4 or 5 sessions in parallel) on a win 7 x64 machine.
How to solve the issue :
1) Back up your entire MT4 folder.
2) Uninstall MT 4
3) Delete your MT4 folder (it's been backed up at step 1) )
4) Make a fresh MT4 install
5) Backup the terminal.ini file from the fresh install (config folder)
6) Delete all files and folders from the fresh install
7) Copy your backup from 1) into the fresh install folder
8) Remove the terminal.ini file (the one corrupted then)
9) Put the terminal.ini file backed up in step 5) in the config folder
There you should have the same setup, layout, EAs,.....you had before the crash.
