I agree with you 100%, in fact I push all my strategy tester results out to csv on the fly as the backtest iterates so I can evaluate the compiled results more readily in Excel for all the reasons you mention.
I wasn't trying to pass judgment on your efforts or to suggest in any way that the script was redundant/irrelevant but rather I was merely feeling you out to see if you were aware of the existing options and if so then to help me better understand in what manner you felt the existing account trading documentation options fell short.
You've made your case and I agree with you, I wish the option existing to export the account history into some other file format besides html (txt or csv as you have created) thru the existing MT4 window/menu system. Maybe a future update could include this? (comment directed towards those with the powers to do things...)
