Considering the amount of instruments available at most brokers it would be nice if MT4/5 supported either

1. a way to change the instrument and/or period (settable which of the two should be changed) on all currently open charts

2. a way to 'link' charts such that if you change the instrument/period on one chart, the other linked charts change as well (it would need to be settable whether the link applies to instrument or period or both).

3. subdirectories in the profiles section such that profiles can be grouped (instead of having just one long list)

In fact, #3 would be nice in its own right. The other two would reduce the number of stored profiles and ease maintenance of profiles considerably (especially if you change chart defaults often - and no, templates don't cut it if you have 50 profiles of 6 charts each, with numerous manually drawn objects).

#2 can be added in chart properties (F8->Common, add two checkboxes: 'Linked (instrument)' and 'Linked (period)' - then all 'linked' charts get changed in a profile if the instrument and/or period is changed in one of them. This way you can use one profile for all instruments.

There's no question here. And its not mql4 programming related. It's just a wish list, and everyone have a bucket list of things to add which would make life easier for them.
