Consider running linux as the main OS
then install VMWare
open VMWare and then install your Win XP 32 bit version as if it was a new machine install.

and what do you mean by platfrom? Do I have to 'double' the MT4 program folder with a second name (e.g. MetaTrader 4.2 ) to start it a second time?
By platform I mean a MT4 program, you know, the one you use to communicate with your broker to act on the market.
