pls.could anybody out help me.i am designing an EA and in dare of need of early reversals trend indicators.i would be grateful and be beneficial to us all.thanks.email to agbagold2007@yahoo.com
 

Consider something that will show divergence, i.e. CCI or RSI dropping while price creeps higher - just before a big drop

As with all oscillators, they wag about quite alot - this can be tamed by using moving averages

For an example of CCI breaking below its moving average before the major drop see the SFX_MA_On_CCI here

Also try the SFX MCL indicator from the same place

Try looking for when the parabolic Sar change from below candlesticks to above candles sticks (or vise versa). The ADX losing power is also a pretty good one.

Agreed these are both classic indicators for manual trading, but both can lag quite badly

In particular, PSAR was developed for moving stops, not signalling trend start/end

You can get a kind of divergence signal from ADX, but it is nowhere near as crisp as from some other oscillators like CCI, RSI, Momentum & DPO
