Gross profit

I am new to this game and confused about gross profit verses net profit. In the case below does the -8.00 figure include any cost? I notice when I place trade in demo account the 1st figure I see is -4.00. I guess this the spread. Did the below trade lose -8.00 or -12.00 approx.
