Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me. I'm new to MQL4 and don't really understand it. But, what I have found is that the ADX (and DI's) calculations appear to be very different from Wilders original formula and the results are also very different from other trading platforms. I've looked at the code for the indicator and don't understand some of the workings - I don't really understand much of it but can make an educated guess at some of it. I'm familiar with VB and .net etc.
It appears that the EMA (incidentally, how is the EMA calculated within this context) is only added to the final bars and not consecutively added, but I'm not sure. The indicators respond much quicker and have shorter peaks and troughs than what I am used to working with.
Is anybody able to translate the code into something I can understand or an explanation of how the calculation is constructed.
Any help would be much appreciated.
