how do i open the EA to be able to edit it?

I bought an EA from Ebay that is not editable in the editor cause i couldnt access the script. I want to be able to go in there and change the timeframe from 30 mins to one hour. how do i open the EA to be able to edit it?

If you only got an ex4 file - you wont be able to edit it - so if its a grey item in the list of EAs in MT4 - its locked against editing.

It may be an EA that adjusts to the current chart - if it does, just change the timeframe of the chart the EA is on to H1 & see if the results are different?

The description/instructions of the EA should cover recommended pair/s & usable timeframe/s???
