After attaching an Expert Advisor to a chart, must I have the computer on 24 hours for EA to activate the trades? I'm asking because I attached an EA to a chart yesterday, then I turned off my computer. 24 hours later I turned my computer back on and this EA already opened a position while my computer was off. Is this possible? PLease advise. Thanks.
 

No. This is impossible. Experts don't work when computer is turned off.

You need to analyze your logs - client_terminal_directory\logs\YYYYMMDD.log and client_terminal_directory\experts\logs\YYYYMMDD.log

computer need to turn on 24 hours ( on market open ), if computer turn off, EA will not work.
