You bought an EA with a perfect backtest. It collapsed in two weeks live. You tried another one — same story. Maybe you've done this five times already. You're not stupid. You were just shopping in a market full of smoke.
Most "AI-powered" bots on MQL5 are a martingale with a ChatGPT logo slapped on top. Perfect equity curves that only exist inside the strategy tester. That's not trading. That's marketing.
I'm Diego, and I build the opposite of that.

WHO I AM
I design Expert Advisors and AI-driven trading systems at DoIt Trading. My focus: strategies that survive the market, survive drawdowns, and survive YOU — because most EAs don't die from bad logic. They die because the trader panics and pulls the plug.
Everything I sell runs on my own money first. No exceptions.

TRADING PHILOSOPHY
Portfolio over single EA. One bot is not a trading plan — it's a psychological trap disguised as a strategy. Multiple strategies supporting each other is how you actually stay in the game.
Controlled risk, not zero risk. Every system has losing periods. The difference is whether drawdown is managed with clear stop-losses and defined limits, or whether it's a grid praying for a reversal.
Recovery is more dangerous than drawdown. The urge to "get back to break-even" destroys more accounts than the drawdown itself. My systems are built knowing that.
Proof over promises. I don't post screenshots — I post verified accounts:

BROKERS I USE WITH REAL MONEY
Don't run your EA on a random broker. These are the ones I trust with my own capital:
IC Markets — Raw spreads, institutional execution
https://doittrading.com/go/ic-markets/
Pepperstone — Solid regulation, global coverage

PROP FIRMS / FUNDED PROGRAMS
Axi Select — Scale capital without paying challenge fees. You trade, they add capital. The only funded program where the business model isn't "collect fees from failing traders"
https://doittrading.com/go/axi-select/
FTMO — If you want traditional funded challenges, this is the one with actual payouts

Historical charts make a strategy look obvious once you can see the next move. Manual backtesting becomes more useful when you keep the decision separate from the outcome.
Choose the period before you start. Work through it in order. Record the entry, invalidation and reason for staying out before advancing the chart.
When a losing setup makes you want to change a rule, save the change as a new version. Keep the old result attached to the rule that actually produced it.
Backtesting Simulator helps you practise this workflow in MetaTrader with replay controls. The discipline is still yours: include the awkward examples, state your cost assumptions and keep uncertain cases visible.
The goal is a method you can explain and repeat. Historical practice does not guarantee live results.

Anthropic released Claude Opus 5.5 on Tuesday, September 22, and OpenAI added GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna the same week. Both are in v3.03. Same prompt, same risk settings, same API key: you pick the new preset and that is it.
What is in v3.03:
1. Claude Opus 5.5 replaces Claude Opus 5. Anthropic prices it below Opus 5. Its thinking is always on: your Reasoning Effort input sets how deep it thinks, and Disabled runs it at its default depth.
2. GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna replace GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra and Luna. GPT-6 Sol is the new OpenAI default. There is no GPT-6 Terra: GPT-6 Sol costs less than GPT-5.6 Terra did, so it covers that slot.
3. Jev by TypeSafe, experimental, signals only. Jev is not a chat model: it answers typed questions with probabilities. Alpha Pulse asks it whether to go long or short, which stop distance in ATR, which reward to risk and which market regime, then computes stop loss and take profit itself. It runs in signals-only mode: its decisions show on the panel and no trade is opened. It has no trading track record, mine included, so that is where it stays for now. Single chart only. You need a Jev API key from TypeSafe (early access; signups were full when I released this) and https://api.typesafe.ai in your WebRequest list.
If your settings use Claude Opus 5 or any GPT-5.6 preset: pick the model again after updating and save your set. Those presets are gone from the list.
Update path: download v3.03 from your MQL5 purchases (MT4 and MT5), reload the chart, pick the preset. Nothing else changes.
Price: 897 USD until Friday, September 25. On Saturday, September 26 the price moves to 997 USD, the final step of the ladder published in July.

Two gold EAs can use different entries and still lose on the same move. Two currency strategies can share exposure to the dollar.
Before adding another chart, write down what is already open: instrument, direction, actual size and which positions can be active together.
Then look at the account’s equity, including floating losses. A collection of attractive closed-trade reports can miss the uncomfortable part that happens while positions overlap.
This is a useful step in building your own process: learn to explain what each component contributes before deciding you need more components.
If you want one strategy to observe first, the free DoIt Gold Portfolio Module gives you a complete XAUUSD H1 component. Start on a separate demo and check the scope of its account-level protection.
One component is not diversification. It is a practical place to begin learning what you are running.

DoIt Gold Portfolio Module gives you a complete XAUUSD H1 strategy to examine on your own demo account. It is available for MT5 and MT4, with no time limit.
For the first week, make the job concrete:
Confirm the correct chart and timeframe.
Understand the selected sizing mode.
Check the actual order volume and stop distance.
Record open equity as well as closed trades.
Keep a note of anything you change.
The software is free. Gold exposure still carries risk, and the broker’s minimum lot size can make a small account unsuitable. Account-level protection can also affect other trades, so start with a separate demo setup.
A quiet week is not a reason to force activity. A profitable week is not proof of a durable edge. The first result you want is a setup you understand.

A profitable session feels good. It does not tell you whether the setup is ready for more capital.
With Alpha Pulse AI, I would separate three questions:
Does the connection and execution work as configured?
Do the model’s decisions match the process you intended?
What do the trading results look like after costs and open-equity risk?
Save the model, prompt, settings and configuration date. Record the decisions to stay out as well as the trades. Keep API charges separate from broker results so you can see the complete cost.
If you change something, label the new version. Otherwise you can end up celebrating a result without knowing which setup produced it.
A short demo can confirm that a workflow runs. It cannot establish a durable trading edge. That distinction matters when you are deciding what to do next.

You may recognise your setup on a chart. Explaining exactly what makes it valid is harder.
That is useful work. Define the evidence you need, what invalidates the idea and when the answer should be “no trade”. You leave with criteria you can reuse and question.
Alpha Pulse AI lets you use an included strategy engine or load your own instructions. It sends those instructions with market context to the selected model and handles the connection to MetaTrader.
Start with one decision. Save the prompt and settings. Then compare the returned explanation with what you actually meant, including the cases where the model gets it wrong.
A more detailed prompt is not proof of an edge. Keep risk in the EA settings, evaluate on demo and account for separate API costs.
If you want to develop your own process without building the entire integration, this is one way to start.

You have probably saved enough trading setups. What you want now is a way to put an idea to work, see how it behaves and build on what you learn.
That is why I am excited about Astra inside DoIt Alpha Pulse AI.
You can choose an included strategy engine or load your own trading instructions. Alpha Pulse sends market context to the selected model, receives its decision and handles execution through the EA's configured controls.
Your work becomes more concrete: define what you want the AI to look for, inspect the decisions it returns, and check what actually happened. Keep the prompt and settings so you can review the same configuration, including the losing trades and the decisions to stay out.
The Astra preset is included in v3.02 for MT5 and MT4. You bring your API key; usage is billed separately. A new model is a configuration to evaluate, not a verified trading result. Start on demo and keep your risk settings explicit.
If you want to build a trading process around your own criteria without writing the entire integration yourself, take a look at what Alpha Pulse already provides.

Forex Kill Zones and Session Timing: The Filter Most Strategies Skip
OpenAI released GPT-6 Astra on Thursday, September 3. The Astra preset was in your v3.02 update on Friday. That is what this EA was built for: a new model is a preset you pick from a list, not a new EA you buy again. Same prompt, same risk settings, same API key.
What is in v3.02:
New model presets: GPT-6 Astra (OpenAI), Claude Fable 5.1 (Anthropic), Gemini 3.8 Flash (Google), Grok 4.6 and 4.3 (xAI), Qwen 3.7 Max and Plus. Astra runs through the current OpenAI API and respects your Reasoning Effort input.
New default preset for fresh installs: Gemini 3.8 Flash. A low-cost brain for the first demo weeks. Move up to a frontier model when you are ready to pay for it.
14 old presets retired. Deprecated models, or models that no longer justify their API bill, are gone from the list. If your .set file points to one of them, the log tells you and the EA falls back to the default preset. Load a factory preset and save your set again.
Qwen fix: thinking mode on the Qwen presets never actually switched on. It does now.
My own read after the first days with Astra on my test setup, choosing the words carefully because I have run every major model through this EA since the first version: the level of market understanding in its reasoning is not normal. I read the reasoning it writes back and, for the first time, I think it is ahead of me on reading a chart. What I am not going to post is a screenshot of three winning trades. There are no results yet and a week of decisions is not a track record.
The plan, so you can hold me to it: two to four weeks of testing on demo with my prompts and my risk rules. If the behaviour holds, it goes on my Axi account and on my funded accounts, and it lands on the public track record with the drawdown next to the gain, like everything else I run.
Update path: download v3.02 from your MQL5 purchases (MT4 and MT5), reload the chart, pick the preset. Nothing else changes.
Price: 797 USD until Friday, September 11. On Saturday, September 12 at 16:00 CET the price moves to 897, step four of the published ladder. Final 997 USD on September 26. Announced in July, executed on the dates.

Here is the uncomfortable thing about this marketplace, said by someone who sells in it. The free demo of any product only runs inside the strategy tester. You cannot put it on a live chart and watch it behave before you pay. So the only two things you can inspect before buying are a curve someone else generated and a description someone else wrote.
That is a bad basis for a decision, and the fix is not to trust harder. It is to build your own reference point, so that when you read someone's results you already know what normal looks like on that instrument.
----
THE AFTERNOON PROTOCOL
Pick one instrument and one timeframe. Not three.
Replay six months of your own broker's data and take the trades by hand, by a rule you wrote down before you started. Fast forward through the dead zones, slow down when price approaches your levels.
Log every trade, including the ones you skipped and why. Fifty trades is enough to tell you something. Twenty is not.
Then read the numbers you care about: worst losing streak and deepest drawdown first, average win and expectancy second. In that order, because the first pair is what decides whether you can hold the position, and the second is what everyone else advertises.
Do that once and you will read every product page in this market differently, mine included. You will also stop asking whether a strategy works and start asking whether you can survive its bad month, which is the actual question.
----
WHAT THE TOOL DOES
It replays your broker's own historical data inside MetaTrader with no extra software: speed control from tick by tick to fast forward, time jumps, realistic order simulation so the log reflects execution rather than intention, and multi chart mode.
One caveat I repeat everywhere because I would rather you hear it from me: on some machines the interface lags visually inside the strategy tester. It is cosmetic and does not affect the simulation, but it surprises people who were not told.
MT5: https://www.mql5.com/en/market/product/101345
MT4: https://www.mql5.com/en/market/product/101346
The live account shows a gain of 740 percent. The maximum drawdown on that same account is 38.80 percent. If you only ever read one of those two numbers, read the second one, because that is the one you will actually have to live through.
Here is what 38.80 percent means in practice. It means that at some point this account was down by more than a third from its peak, for weeks, while continuing to trade its plan. On a 10,000 USD account that is a period where you are looking at roughly 6,100 USD and deciding whether to switch it off. Most people switch it off. They switch it off near the bottom, which converts a drawdown into a permanent loss, and then they leave a one star review.
So I would rather filter you out now than take your money and disappoint you in November.
----
WHO THIS IS NOT FOR
Anyone who cannot watch a third of an account disappear on paper without intervening.
Anyone funding it with money that has a job in the next twelve months.
Anyone who wants a smooth line. Gold does not produce smooth lines, and any gold EA showing you one is showing you a backtest.
WHO IT IS FOR
Someone allocating a slice of a portfolio to a volatile instrument on purpose, who has already decided in advance what they will do during a drawdown, and who will not touch it in between.
----
HOW IT IS BUILT, IN ONE LINE
Long only on XAUUSD by design. It does not try to catch every move, it tries to catch the powerful bullish phases and stay out of the rest. That design choice is exactly why the drawdown looks like it does and why the equity curve is not a smooth line.

Open any public signal channel and scroll back a month. You will find entries. Confident language, clean formatting, plenty of them. What you will struggle to find is the other half of each trade: where it closed, whether the stop was moved, what the month added up to.
That is rarely fraud. It is logistics. Publishing by hand is a job, and every manual job gets done well when things go well and quietly skipped when they do not. Nobody feels like typing "closed for a loss" at eleven at night. The record ends up incomplete, and an incomplete record always flatters the person keeping it.
----
THE FOUR REASONS A SETUP GOES SILENT
The URL is not whitelisted. MetaTrader will not send anywhere you have not allowed in Tools, Options, Expert Advisors. It is the first thing I check when someone writes to me, and it takes fifteen seconds to fix.
The bot is not in the chat, or the webhook was regenerated. Telegram needs the bot inside the group with permission to post. Discord invalidates a webhook the moment someone regenerates it.
The terminal is not running. A closed platform publishes nothing. This is what a VPS is for, and it is the honest reason to have one.
Nothing happened. Worth checking before assuming it is broken.
----
WHAT THE TOOL IS ACTUALLY FOR
Up to six destinations in one operation, three Telegram chats and three Discord webhooks. Premium gets the signal immediately, the free tier gets it after the delay you configure, which is what makes a two tier channel work at all.
Messages are edited when the stop or target changes, so the post your audience is reading stays true. Closures are published with the result attached, including the losses, in real time.
Sending is asynchronous with retries and rate limit handling. That is plumbing, and it is also the difference between a broadcasting tool and something that stalls your terminal during the busiest minute of the session.
