DAX Retractor is a professional expert advisor for spot CFD of DAX40 (Deutscher Aktienindex) German Stock Market Index (GE40, DE40, GER). It uses the dependable Relative Cyclicality indicator and 16 innovative trading strategies that identify the price retraction moments. The professional edition includes also Adaptive Cyclicality, Super Trend, Connors RSI, Fisher Transform, Smoothed Heikin Ashi, Relative Smoothed Heikin Ashi, Relative Momentum, and Order Blocks indicators. The default settings are optimal. A specific stop-loss value protects each trade, and a fixed take profit point is set for every trade. The user can set the allocated risk and a capital exposure protection level that protects the high-risk when using more experts in the same capital account. This is an investment tool, not a high frequency trading software. This EA is designed, tested and optimized for USD capital accounts with the hedging option activated and a minimum capital of 10000 USD. For this case, the risk can be set between 5% and 50% for this case, at the user's choice. This EA was not designed and tested for lower capital. The minimal functional capital is 1000$. Better results are obtained in Raw type accounts with a variable spread. Using a low-latency VPS (under 120ms) can get better efficiency. DAX Retractor is optimized ONLY for DAX40 Index and can be used on ANY TIMEFRAME with the same results. The current version is optimized for market data after 01.01.2018 using the DEFAULT settings with an icmarkets USD Raw MT5 live account. For this case, the longest trade last 317 hours, and the longest no trade time last 745 hours. This expert advisor is not universal and has different profitability from one broker to another. If the market price evolves much differently than the period used to optimize this EA, the risk and capital exposure can be increased without any notice, and losses can appear higher than the risk level set by the user. Test the program before purchasing! DO NOT CHECK the "profit in pips for faster calculation" option in the strategy tester to test this product! The EA is counting money, not pips! Do not test this EA for a period shorter than one year, recommended 3 years, better 5 years back. This is because the cyclicality indicators use at least one year back data. The automated volume capculation is optimized for 1:500 leverage accounts, but the EA can be used for accounts with ANY LEVERAGE level by setting the "CustomVolume" value accordingly. Before running this expert advisor, load consecutively the M5, M15, H1, H4, and D1 timeframes into the DAX40 chart to all necessary data loaded in your MT5 platform. If some data are missing, a warning message will be displayed in the logs, and the expert will not start. This expert advisor uses huge amounts of data for the real-time data-mining process. Please do NOT change the timeframe after you load the expert into the US30 chart. Malfunctions can appear if not all previously data are completely loaded. This expert advisor uses huge amounts of data for the real-time data-mining process. Better performance is obtained for high-performance processors and more significant RAM memory. If your memory or processor is used nearly 100%, the data-mining process will be delayed, and a lower performance will be obtained in the trading account. The expert includes an interface for manual entry order and a template to help the trader to take real-time decisions. If a trade was not identified automatically by the expert, the trader can initiate a trade that will be managed by the software automatically until the end. The manual trades are made at the same volume as the automated trades, depending on the risk level set by the user. Please note that the template form by the Price Action Line, Relative cyclicality and Relative Momentum are loaded to help anyone to invalidate an external signal. For example if the trader wants to take a buy manual trade and sees all the above indicators on red, he must cancel his initiative. Entry signals based on the above indicators must be backtested before to be part of anyone decisions.
The capital exposure set by the input parameters is approximated using the price movement statistics between 01.01.2018 and today. This is the maximal drawdown obtained from the backtests. With other words, if the market evolves in the same way like in the past, the maximal exposure recorded by a position opened by this expert advisor should not exceed that level. This fact is not true if the market evolves differently or unprecedented. The stop loss level is set far away considering the double distance from the open price to the maximal exposure price. This strategy offers us the possibility to wait for a market recovery, or to use a recovery utility to cover the loss position when the exposure is overloaded. These recovery operation is not assured by the current expert advisor and must be implemented by the trader using different software, if he wants. Anyway, without an additional recovery procedure, if the market continues to drop off, the position will be automatically closed by the set stop loss. A Stop Trading utility can be used to set an additional protection for the capital account. In any case, A stable Risk and Capital Management Strategy is recommended!
Every weekend a machine-learning server searches for a better solution for the data-mining algorithms' parameter set. An update is made every Sunday before 20:00 GMT if a better configuration is found. Please note that a negative trade made in the past can not appear in the backtest after a data mining algorithm update. This is because the artificial intelligence algorithm learns from the new market movements and adapts the parameter set to avoid such negative trades in the future. Even so, the market can be changed in an unprecedented way, and strange price behaviour can generate negative transactions in the future. For this reason, keep everything safe by using a low-risk profile.

DAX Retractor is an algorithm based on the price evolution from 01.01.2018 until today. We use it with the hypothesis that the market will behave today, tomorrow, and in the near future like in the past. A negative trade can appear if this hypothesis is false even if the backtest results are good for many years back. We all know that past performance does not guarantee future profit. There is no mathematical guarantee that the market will be stable enough tomorrow. The statistics of recent years do not exclude exceptions that may appear even tomorrow. That's why I don't offer live signals. I don't want to trick anyone. If, after opening a trade, the market behaviour is substantially changed, that trade will be closed with a loss equal to at least the risk level set by the user. Even more negative transactions, one after the other, can be recorded in this case. In exceptional circumstances of high volatility market price, the loss can be even higher than the risk set due to market gaps. For this reason, please pay attention to the risk level set when using this automated software. Do not risk more than you can afford to lose. Wait to set high-risk levels until you record a profit in your account to cover an eventual loss. Increase the risk level gradually according to a sustained and stable risk and capital strategy you must set for your long-term investment. These suggestions are valid for using any expert advisor from the market, regardless of how performant seems to be in the tests or in the past trading logs. In financial trading, even using automated trading bots, anything can happen. Keep it safe!

I purchased DAX Retractor February 20 this year. The EA looks promising and the backtests are consistent with actual entry and exit. You can compliment the programmer on that. There is also good communication with the programmer by email. The programmer has a lot of knowledge and knows what he is doing. But still I'm not happy at the moment. I've already had an SL 1x and the 2nd was 5 points away from this. The last position opened at the bottom/resistance zone and took advantage of the MagicVolume (which is 2x the original position lotsize). According to the product description, these are almost risk-free positions. This position is now about 6 points off the SL within 2 days. It is a pity that after 10 weeks I have not yet been able to make a profit with this expensive EA. Biggest problem is that the SL is about 35x bigger than the profit. I've been using the EA for 10 weeks now and have seen the SL almost 2x. The EA has only made 26 profit deals in the last 10 weeks since I've been using the EA, so I'm in the red right now. What also strikes me is that if the bot opens an incorrect position, there will be a software update where this entry is removed. The version published today does not have the last 2 short positions from the past week in the backtest. The previous version does. Apparently the programmer has come to different insights. The author advises you to hedge positions if they are too far underwater. And he also made tools for this, but I think if you have an EA you don't have to sit behind the screen all day and would like to have these tools built into the current EA. It would be nice if this EA automatically hedged when the entry signal is gone. I think this EA can make more profit then. The disadvantage of hedging is that a lot of SWAPS are charged on the LONG positions if the positions go overnight and you have to earn all this back. I'm giving 2 stars now, if we don't hit the 2nd SL next week I'll reconsider my review. * I have tried to write an honest review, so it is not an accusation. After all, we all know that the markets are unpredictable.

It has nothing to do with the risk level. After all, the risk level also influences your profit deals.
What I'm trying to say is that there have been too few profit deals in the last 10 weeks (26) versus 1 loss deal to make the closing balance positive.
And I agree with you that there is not a single EA that has a 100% score.
It's not a criticism of your work, just a review.
I think it's particularly great work that there is an EA where the backtests and real account are equal.

The new updates look nice to do some manual trades.
If you are not happy when a stop loss is met, you are using a too high risk level. So, think again!
Do you wish an expert to make only positive trades? I did not find one in 25 years of searching.
Regarding hedging, you can do it by yourself using the utility software available on the market.
This software is giving you enough time between the exposure and the stop-loss levels to decide.

This is an investment tool. I am counting the profit at the end of a year, after 2 or more years.
You look at 26 positive deals and ONE negative trade, and you have concluded is not a good EA?
