stevespoon: Hi - Do you include commission in the back test -? Appear to make 2-3 pips a trade, against 100p sl
Hi!
Yes, the backtest includes € 5.50 of commissions for each trade, which are the current conditions of my broker (IcMarkets - Raw Spread). This account guarantees a spread level on EURUSD close to 0. These are conditions I strongly recommend to get the best out of the EA!
CURVE works just like this: 98 trades out of 100 are positive with an average of 3.6 pips of gain, and 2 out of 100 trades are negative with an average of 86 pips, as you can see from the backtest!

I notice there is no Magic Number - can this be used /optimised on other pairs ?

Hi! Actually the Magic Number is used for internal purposes of the EA.
CURVE is not currently programmed to work on other currency pairs (or with others EAs) SIMULTANEOUSLY, but it certainly will in future releases!
Backtests on GBPUSD still give excellent results, even if EURUSD remains the currency on which we obtain the best performance, also due to a lower operating spread compared to GBPUSD.
A drawdown refers to how much an investment is down from the peak before it recovers back to the peak.
The CURVE backtest, performed with the default settings (1,000 StopLoss points, 1.00 fixed lots), shows that the maximum drawdown that the system has had from 2008 to today is $ 2,313 (with an average loss trade of 855 $). Multiplying these values by the number of lots you are currently trading with, you will get the "worst case", the maximum loss for which you must be psychologically prepared.
I think that the amount of sustainable loss is a factor closely linked to each person's investment psychology.
For this reason, in the CURVE input variables, you can set the level of StopLoss points as you like.
To give you an example, I am attaching the result of a backtest where the parameter has been lowered from 1,000 to 333 points.
As you can see, the maximum drawdown dropped from $ 2,313 to $ 1,395, the average loss trade from $ 855 to $ 330, but at the same time also the Net Profit and the Profit Factor are lowered.
However, some psychological profiles may prefer, as above, to have a smaller profit in the face of a smaller drawdown. Choose the setting that suits you best, the choice is yours!
Two positive trades today... enjoy!
New version 1.2 released!
Fixed Time Zone bugs, added a preliminary check of input variables
Enjoy!

I also have a question this EA works with prefix
Hi!
Yes, CURVE basically is programmed without any restrictions on symbols names.
I recommend for now only using on EURUSD, H1.

Que servidor VPS esta utilizando?
Hi Benjamin!
At the moment i have 2 running VPS services:
- ForexVPS https://www.forexvps.net/
- Chocoping https://chocoping.com/
Even though I keep them both for security reasons, chocoping should offer better prices.
It is useless to specify that a VPS service is ESSENTIAL for the correct operativity of CURVE!
pero el de la señal cual es?
Is Chocoping!
Definitely a great February so far! https://www.mql5.com/en/signals/936836
A long time without a Stop Loss, let's prepare ourselves psychologically! ;) Enjoy!Definitely a great February so far! https://www.mql5.com/en/signals/936836
