New Feature for hedging accounts soon to be published:

Mode which will allow all Strategies to trade simultaneously and independent of each other.
This will allow to increase the number of trades per month significantly without having to run several instances of the EA.

I have just bought your ea, in the backtest the results are promising.

I think the ea should work with the default settings or why are there other set files? Are the other set files for other pairs?

And how can I get these?

What do you think, can I run the ea on one terminal at the same time with another ea? The magic numbers are different.

First of all thanks for purchasing.

MultiStrategist is compatible with other EAs since it always checks magic numbers, and only trades with positions with the same numbers (mind that it has several magic numbers).

I don't have Set files for other Symbols, yet. But I am planing to make MultiStrategist compatible with other Symbols and Timeframes in the future.

The Standard settings are fine.

If you think about optimization I recommend to focus on:

- Auto MinProf Multiplier

- Auto TrailingStop Mulitplier 

For AutoMinProfMultiplier I use currently 0.3 on my realmoney account and 0.7 for AutoTrailingStop Multiplier. This will further increase the winning chance, but will lower the potential winning amount.

Update available: Version 2.1

New:

1) Beautified settings menu.

2) MaxPosition: "NoNewTrades".  This will allow to let the EA finish up trades without starting new ones. Good if you plan to go on vacation without trading etc.

how often and when do you change the set? After all, it is only clear in retrospect which set is best. Should not all 7 strategies be true to get a lower risk?

Yes it is only clear in retrospect.

I run a  quick optimization every couple of weeks to test all possible strategy combinations (AutoMinProfMultiplier and to a lesser extend AutoTrailingStopMultiplier are important settings to check as well) .

If I would find that my current combination was by far the worst, I would change it, other wise I let it run. The current setting is the result of such an optimization. 

I also like the Idea of having all 7 strategies on, but backtest results suggest otherwise, and my recommendations are made based on the results of such backtests. FYI I also call it LowRisk, because MaxPositions is set to TWO, (2 Strategies are allowed to trade at the same time.)  Increasing this number will increase the risk.  The Risk Percentage (Amount per trade at risk) can also be adjusted.

Upgrade to MultiStrategist 3.0 this weekend.

New Feature: 

- Partial Closing: Positions get partially closed after reaching a certain percentage of the aimed Profit (as defined by the Take Profit). Has shown to decrease DD and increase Profit Factor, but lower total Return in back-tests. Therefore may be considered as a risk reducing feature.

- New Setting: 'skip incompatible parameters': if true, will save optimization time by skipping incompatible parameter settings.

Other Changes:

- minor fixes like:

- OCO gets automatically deactivated if Hedging is allowed, instead of error.

I just purchased the EA. Thx for such a good product. Can I run the EA on one terminal at the same time with other pairs (symbols)? Actualy i can, but trading is happening only at one pair.

Hi, thanks for Purchasing Multi Strategist.

I am not sure that I understand your question right. Multi Strategist is trading only the Chart that the EA is loaded on. Currently only EURUSD is supported.

But I am currently working on making it compatible with three other pairs (NZDCAD,GBPJPY,EURCAD). This is work in progress and I am currently forward testing these settings.

Ok i have 6 Charts and EA is loaded on all of them, but trading is happening only on one of them (NZDUSD) all others don't do anything. Also data on Info panel compressed and unreadable.

For everyone: The set files provided are always for EURUSD. I have preliminary Set files for other Currency Pairs. Customers can request them via private message. (For testing only.)
