You've been burned before. That's why you're reading this.
You bought an EA with a perfect backtest. It collapsed in two weeks live. You tried another one — same story. Maybe you've done this five times already. You're not stupid. You were just shopping in a market full of smoke. - 버전: 2.0

DoIt Advanced Range Breakout: Range Breakout EA for MT5 and MT4
Daily range breakout Expert Advisor for Gold (XAUUSD), forex and indices: set the range in London, New York or Frankfurt time and the EA converts it to your broker's clock, daylight saving included. Buy stop and sell stop at the range, risk that stays what you planned when the entry slips, a spread filter, exchange holiday calendars and prop firm protection. No martingale, no grid.
Here is how range breakout EAs are usually sold: a backtest with a beautiful curve, the range hours in a broker time nobody explains, and not a word about what happens when the stop order slips at the open.
Here is how I sell this one: as a tool. I tested a default setting with rules fixed before looking at the results, and it did not pass, so I do not sell it as a strategy with a proven edge. What I sell is the execution: the range in the right hours on any broker, the stop loss that follows a slipped entry, the orders it does not send when the spread blows out, the nights it does not hold over an exchange holiday, and the daily limit it does not break.
Two ways to find the levels
Daily range: the high and low between two times you choose. Swing levels: the unbroken swing highs and lows, with kill zones in the time zone you choose. MT5 and MT4 from the same code.
Market time, any broker
You write the range in the market's own time: New York, London, Frankfurt, Tokyo, UTC or server time. The EA works out your broker's offset and its daylight saving rule by itself (or you set them by hand) and shows both on the panel: "04:00-10:00 London" and the same window in server time. No more guessing which hours to type for your broker, and no window that shifts by one hour twice a year.
Risk that stays what you planned
- Lot size from your risk: % of the balance, % of a fixed account size, or a fixed lot.
- Slipped entry, moved stop: when the stop order fills worse than its price, the EA moves the SL and TP with the fill, and watches the SL until the broker confirms it. In my tests on US30 with real ticks (January to October 2026, random delay), 122 of the 123 entries that slipped had their stop moved; the other one was covered by a virtual stop.
- What no EA can fix: slippage on the way out. On a 15:30 news release the exit through the stop can still cost more than the planned risk (up to 1.52 R in that same test). I tell you so here instead of after your first news day.
- Minimum lot: if the lot for your risk is below the broker's minimum, the EA uses the minimum lot and the log tells you how many R it risks. On gold, 0.01 lot with the factory range risked a median of $40 per trade in 2026, and 1 order in 17 risked more than $100: on a $1,000 account that is 4% on a normal day and 10% or more on a wild one. Whether your account is big enough for the symbol is your call.
Orders it does not send
- Spread filter: orders are held back while the spread is blown out (against its own 60 minute median) and placed again when it is normal. US30, real ticks 2026: 12 entries with a blown out spread with the filter, 19 without it.
- Exchange holidays: NYSE and Eurex calendars, picked from the symbol, plus your own extra days. No range and no position into a holiday or an early close. US30, 2021 to 2026: 0 nights held over a holiday close with the calendar, 2 without it.
- Range size filter: skip days whose range is too small or too big, measured in daily ATR.
- Price already through the level: no order, no chasing.
Prop firm protection
- Daily loss limit (% of the initial balance, the way most firms count it, or of the day's balance, or money), daily drawdown limit, total loss limit.
- Maximum trades and maximum losing trades per day.
- Trading day from midnight Prague time, or your own reset.
- Risk budget: an order whose stop loss would break the daily limit is made smaller or not sent, and the pending orders are checked again after every entry.
- US30, 2021 to 2026, 3% per trade, daily loss limit at 4.5% of the initial balance: days above 5% of the initial balance went from 494 without protection to 0. With real ticks in 2026, 2 days were left, both from slippage beyond the stop at 15:30.
Important: the daily and total loss limits close ALL positions of the account when they trigger, including those of other EAs. Run the protection from one EA per account. This does not mean the EA passes any program for you: always check the rules of your own firm.
Trade management and panel
- Stop loss at the other side of the range (or a % of it, or points). Take profit off, a multiple of the stop, or points. Pending orders deleted and positions closed at the times you choose.
- Break even and partial close in multiples of R, trailing stop, optional Friday close.
- Panel on the chart: today's levels and windows, spread, your position's risk in R, margin used, day P/L against your limit, protection budget, all results of this EA and the last 30 trades. PAUSE and CLOSE ALL buttons (close all asks twice). Four sizes, 100% to 200%.
Factory settings
Daily range on gold: range 04:00 to 10:00 London time, both stop orders, stop loss at the other side of the range, no take profit, orders deleted and positions closed at 17:00 London, 0.5% of the balance per trade, spread filter and holiday calendar on, prop firm limits off. It is a starting point, not a validated setting. The user guide has indicative ranges for other markets; test them on demo with your broker first.
Who this is for
Traders who already like range breakouts and want them executed properly: the right hours on any broker, the risk they set, no surprise nights, and prop firm rules respected.
Who this is NOT for
Anyone looking for a guaranteed-profit robot, a strategy that wins every week, or an EA that removes the need to choose and test their own settings. Breakouts have long losing streaks. This tool makes them cleaner, not shorter.
Setup
- Attach it to the chart of the symbol you trade. In daily range mode the chart timeframe does not matter: the range is read from 1 minute bars.
- Set the range hours in the market's time zone and your risk per trade.
- Demo first. Watch it through a losing stretch before real money.
- A VPS keeps the orders and the daily limit running when your computer is off.
Price
Launch pricing: 70 USD until 8 November, then 97 USD until 30 November. From 1 December the price is 147 USD.
After purchase, send me a private message here on MQL5: you get the other version (MT4 or MT5) free and the full user guide, with a reference for each market that you adapt to your broker, plus the broker and VPS I use.
Trading involves substantial risk of loss. Past performance does not guarantee future results. No Expert Advisor can guarantee profits. Results depend on market conditions, broker execution, spreads, commissions, swaps, risk settings and user configuration. Always test on demo before using real money.
