Yep it was just the idea that is good lol. You have to find a way of closing those rough trades that get left behind when the trend changes and the EA can still carry on trading a profit without a big loss.
to keep throwing these ideas at you. A way to combat the trades that get left behind would be to have the perimeter " close on basket profit = ?" the EA would then take all open trades into consideration and close when a profit is achieved.
For the above to work it would need to open a trade on every new signal of the indi used not wait till it is a new signal above or below the current grid. I have tested the theory in the tester seems to work well.
If you good enough you could then even make it multi basket currency - would be awesome

With the new version 5.90 that is being reviewed by mql5 right now the issue "EA still thinks the trades are active" is no more. I'll look in your other suggestions soon.

I've made a drop down selection of either a Split-Basket or a Joined-Basket, the split basket deals with each kind of trades alone Longs separated from Shorts, actually the way it was, while the Joined-basket calculates all open trades no matter Long or Short and closes them all according to TP or SL pips. This should release you from having to use a 2nd ea to close.

EA "Shine" closes using an MA filter and works very well
