Clean, disciplined EMA crossover EA — no martingale, no grid, no pyramiding

I’ve forward-tested EMA Trade Crossover to Crossover on demo and a small live account. Execution is stable and signals are confirmed on candle close, just as described.

Highlights:

Percent-of-equity risk: Fixed TP/SL by equity percentage performs as anticipated. The lot size is automatically determined using the appropriate leverage and symbol specifications.

Exit strategies include the Cross-to-Cross mode, which rides trends until the opposite EMA signal, and the Fixed TP/SL mode, which is used for structured risk.

Strict risk management: No pyramiding, no averaging down, no grid, and no martingale. Conservative use is made of optional anti-martingale reasoning, which never adds to an open position and only compounds on the subsequent trade.

Safety layer features include trading session filters, daily equity protection, cooldown hours, loss-streak cutoff, and early exit on the opposite cross.
Usability: Consistent logging, Magic Number isolation, and a clear on-chart dashboard. Because of point/contract-aware computations, it functions across FX, metals, indices, and cryptocurrency.

Yes. It’s suitable for funded/prop accounts (anti‑martingale, no grid, no pyramiding), as long as EAs are allowed.

Quick funded-safe setup:

  • Risk per trade: 0.1%–0.5% of equity, hard SL/TP on every trade
  • Daily loss lock: 3%–5%; max consecutive losses: 2–3 then 12–24h cooldown
  • Max trades/day: 3–5; one position at a time
  • Use fixed TP/SL mode unless holding through signals/news is allowed
  • Enable spread/slippage filters and avoid rollover; add news filter
  • Check firm rules: leverage, netting vs hedging, overnight/news restrictions
  • Run on a low‑latency VPS close to the prop server

I got unsupported filling mode while trying backtesting with XM. XM needs IOC filling system.

Thank you very much, Cristian and Patrick, for your helpful feedback and testing!

@Cristian — the “unsupported filling mode” with XM is caused by broker-side restrictions; XM uses the IOC (Immediate‑or‑Cancel) execution type. I’ll add a compatibility update in the next version so the EA automatically detects and adjusts to broker-specific filling modes. Thank you for pointing that out!

@Patrick — thank you for your question! At the moment, the EA performs well on major FX pairs (EURUSD, GBPUSD, XAUUSD) and also indexes like US30 when tuned with balanced EMA periods and risk around 1‑2%. I’d love to hear your suggestions on which other assets or features you’d like to see added.

Your ideas are always welcome — they help improve stability and flexibility in future updates.

Thanks to Permender Ji and his entire team for creating this excellent EMA Bot.
I have been making consistent profit since Monday, 15 December 2025 and it is giving very good results in all segments.

I just need one clarification:
How can I change the lot size?
Currently, the lot size is 0.01, and I would like to increase it.
Please advise.

EMA crossover strategy is good, but it often turns into a loss if stop-loss trailing is not used. Once a proper trailing stop-loss is implemented, this EA can become a very strong and reliable trading system.

Thanks to Permender Ji and his entire team:

Hi i love this EA  is it possable to Split it to make it possable to only take buy and or sell option. plus trailing stop would be great aswell....this would be great for trends.to prevent side ways market..

The EA is performing well, but I think it could be improved. It would be better if the EA waited to confirm price movement for at least five bars after a moving average crossover. Currently, when a buy signal occurs and the next bar is not bullish, the EA skips the trade, which can result in missing many strong price moves.
