Thanks for your message!

If the EA isn’t trailing the stop, there are a couple of things you should double-check:

  1. AutoTrading – Make sure the AutoTrading button at the top of your platform is turned on (it should be green).

  2. EA Settings – When you load the EA onto your chart:

    • Under the Common tab, make sure “Allow live trading” is ticked.

    • Also check “Allow DLL imports” if the EA needs it.

  3. Inputs Tab – Double-check your trailing stop settings here to make sure they’re set up the way you want.

hi

I want EA to start trailing stop   2.00 pips in profit from entry price and move SL every 2.00  pips thereafter .

trailing start = 200

trailing step  - 200

but the SL moves to entry price and stop there even if price continues to move ?

I follow the check list you mentioned above.

Please advise

thanks for your message :)

The trailing stop in this EA works like this:

It doesn’t start trailing right away. It only starts once the trade is in profit by the amount you set in “Trailing Start” (in pips).

So if you set Trailing Start = 2.0 pips, the EA waits until the trade is 2 pips in profit.
Once that happens, it moves the stop-loss 2 pips behind the current price.

Then every time price moves another 2.0 pips in profit (your Trailing Step), the stop-loss moves again — always staying 2 pips behind the price.

If your SL moves to entry and stops there, it means the trailing logic triggered once but the price didn’t move another full 2 pips to trigger the next step yet.
The EA only moves the SL again once price gains another full “trailing step” distance.

The EA is in pips not points.  if you are looking for something custom don't hesitate to ask.

Hello, I’ve downloaded it — thank you.

I’d like to use it to add a breakeven function to positions opened by other EAs.
I have a few questions about that:

If I attach this EA to a single chart, will it manage all positions in the account, or only those belonging to the currency pair of the attached chart?

If I leave the “Auto SL/TP Settings” set to 0, does that mean it will keep the TP/SL levels set by other EAs?
In that case, is the breakeven calculation (“BE % of take profit”) based on the original TP value maintained from the other EA?

Thank you in advance.

Hi, thanks for your questions!

  1. Chart Scope:
The EA only manages trades for the symbol of the chart it’s attached to. It won’t manage positions from other pairs.

  2. Auto SL/TP Settings = 0:
If you leave the Auto SL/TP settings at 0 , the EA will not change any stop loss or take profit levels set by other EAs or manually.

  3. Breakeven % of Take Profit:
Yes, the breakeven calculation will use the existing TP (the one already set by the other EA). For example, if “BE % of TP” is set to 50%, it will move to breakeven when price has reached halfway to that TP.

If you’d like a custom version of this EA with your own inputs or extra features, please don’t hesitate to ask — I’ll gladly do it for the price of a cup of coffee ☕.

Thank you for your kindness!

At a later time, I might ask for your help with an EA that applies breakeven to all positions in the account by attaching it to just one chart.
When that time comes, I’d really appreciate your assistance.
