Description (strategy and features)
This EA takes advantage of trend reversals when they are forming. The strategy is to wait until a trend reached a tipping point before trading signals are created. By waiting until the trend reach a certain point, the likelihood of estimating the reversal is increased. There is also always the risk of taking trades too soon (during the trend) which will sometimes be unavoidable. An attempt is therefore made to minimize this risk by having an option to close positions in profit sooner or after a certain number of bars to avoid getting stuck in trend continuations.
The strategy of this EA is to trade reversals. The user can select the distances (in points) between two fast moving averages and two slow moving averages. The user only needs to select the distance in points for the fast and slow moving averages respectively. A reversal signal is received once these distances are reached and price begins to reverse.
Take profit and stop levels can be set with an option to trail the stop loss. There is an option to close positions when a opposite signal is received and an option to close all open positions currently in profit, using the DeMarker indicator to receive an exit signal, in cases where take profit levels were not reached. The user can activate a breakeven stop level once a position is in profit by a certain number of points. The user can further select their preferred trading days and times if needed. There is also an option to avoid trades during times when spreads are too high.
This is not a Martingale or grid trading strategy.
Recommended Time Frames:
We recommended to use the 1 hour time frame, even though other time frames may also be profitable. The weekly and monthly time frames are not recommended for this EA.
Inputs:
Most inputs are standard and easy to understand but we list and clarify some of the inputs below:
~ General Settings ~
magic number :
Set your own number magic number. If you want to run two charts using this ea then you will have to change the magic number to create a unique number for each chart.
lot mode :
There are three lot modes: 1) fixed lots, 2) dynamic lots and risk % of account equity balance
- fixed lots always uses the same lot size that was selected as per the fixed lot input
- dynamic lots uses a ratio between your lot size and equity as per the % equity input e.g. if 1 is selected then the ratio of 1 lot will be traded per 100k equity. So if your equity is 1,000 and 1 is selected in the input below the lot mode (described below), then a lot size of 0.01 will be traded per 1k equity etc. This setting allows for the lot size to increase / decrease as per your equity balance.
- risk % of equity balance (this option requires a stop loss)
fixed / dynamic / % risk :
The relevant number based on the previous input e.g. if 1 is selected for this input and the lot mode is fixed lots then 1 lot will always be traded. If the lot mode is dynamic then 1 lot will be traded for a 100k equity balance, 0.1 lots for a 10k equity balance or 0.01 lots for a 1k equity balance etc.

Option to execute trades only on new bars (which is highly recommended).
