EA Challenge: Reversals-Based Trading Strategy (Double Tops/Bottoms)

We’re looking for a talented developer to create an Expert Advisor (EA) capable of identifying and trading reversals (e.g., double top/bottom, etc.) with precision on any chart (preferably 5-minute chart). This is a challenge for developers who enjoy optimizing strategies for high profitability and efficient execution.

Risk & Reward Parameters:

• Stop Loss: 2% of the position value

• Take Profit: 3% or more of the position value

• Max Trade Duration: 15 minutes (positions must close promptly within this time).

Performance Expectation:

• EA should aim for 90%+ profitable trades in backtesting with minimum 5-10 closed positions per week (or 20-40 closed positions per month). Proof of backtesting performance is required.

Deliverable:

• Full source code is required to allow for future adjustments and enhancements.

Input Parameters (User-adjustable):

1. Symbol (default: XAUUSD)

2. Volume (default: 0.01)

3. Take Profit (%) (default: 5%)

4. Stop Loss (%) (default: 2%)

5. Maximum open positions (default: 1)

Testing Conditions:

• The EA will be tested on XAUUSD, GBPUSD, and USDJPY using the most recent 12 months of historical data. The data will include various market conditions (trending, ranging, volatile) to ensure robustness and adaptability.on a 1 year

What We’re Looking For:

• EA should identify and trade double top/bottom reversal patterns effectively, avoiding false signals caused by overlapping or nested patterns. The priority is high accuracy and prompt trade execution.

• Flexibility: You have the freedom to use any technical analysis, indicators, or custom methods that will help you achieve optimal results.

• Efficiency: Trades should close no later than 15 minutes after opening, ensuring the EA stays within the defined time constraints.
