Is Google Actually Integrating Bitcoin to its Services? (source - forexminute)

So the history will always remember Jarar Malik for being the first person to question the leading technology companies – Apple, Amazon and Google – about their future plans on the digital currency Bitcoin. The man himself is a developer of the renowned Bitcoin advocating and classified site CoinList.me and has showed much gracefulness in frankly asking the giants their take on Bitcoins.

While Apple and Amazon’s representatives were too busy to reply to the simplest question Jarar asked, Google’s Senior Vice President was the courteous one to reply to Jarar’s query and even to forward another Google employee Sridhar Ramaswamy – the company’s senior VP of Ads and Commerce. Although the reply he made to Jarar took him and the rest of the community by surprise, optimistic surprise!

“We are working in the payments team to figure out how to incorporate Bitcoins into our plans”, wrote Ramaswamy in his reply to Jarar Malik and promised him further to get back whenever any progress is made to this possibility. Jarar, as enthusiastic as he already was, took a snap of Ramaswamy’s email and posted it on Reddit’s Bitcoin Forum, which saw many positive responses from the digital currency’s fans all around the world.

But the happy and cheery season ended when another statement from Google – this time issued by its anonymous spokesperson – mentioned the company to “have no other plans regarding Bitcoin”. The spokesperson stated: “As we continue to work on Google Wallet, we’re grateful for a very wide range of suggestions. While we’re keen to actively engage with Wallet users to help inform and shape the product, there is no change to our position: we have no current plans regarding Bitcoin.”
