Breakout or Fakeout? Two Checks Before You Chase a Gold Breakout
Gold breaks a level almost every day — and most of those breaks fail. The traders who lose money on breakouts usually make the same mistake: they buy the break itself instead of waiting for proof that it holds.
Check one: the close. A wick through a level is not a breakout; it is a test. Wait for the candle to CLOSE beyond the level. On gold, a 15-minute or 1-hour close beyond a clean level carries far more weight than a fast spike that immediately falls back inside. If price closes back inside, treat it as a failed break, not an entry.
Check two: the retest. After a real breakout, price often comes back to the broken level and holds it as new support (or resistance, on the way down). That retest is your confirmation — and your risk reference. A break with no retest can still work, but chasing it means entering at the worst price with no clear invalidation.
Put together: close beyond the level, then a retest that holds. Two checks, no rush. Gold will give you another setup tomorrow. Your job is not to catch every move — it is to skip the ones that have not proven themselves yet.

I updated manual of XAU Master. Main difference is design and explanation of the 4 lot sizing modes:
Fixed: always the same lot. SL doesn't affect the lot size.
Fixed exponential: the lot grows with your balance. SL doesn't affect the lot size.
Automatic: you always risk the same amount of money per trade. A bigger SL gives a smaller lot, and a smaller SL gives a bigger lot.
Automatic exponential: you always risk the same % of your current balance per trade. A bigger SL gives a smaller lot, and a smaller SL gives a bigger lot.

I believe that sometimes you simply need to remove an EA from a chart on day where there's a lot of noise and choppiness. An experienced trader simply knows when it's not a good time to trade, an inexperienced trader does not know. Some EAs try to avoid noise, corrections against the trend, and whipsaws by using technical analysis, but it doesn't always hold.

ORDER BLOCKS — Where Institutions Act
Order Blocks are price areas associated with the origin of significant directional displacement. In ICT-based analysis, these zones can become important reference points when price later returns to the area.
The concept is not simply about identifying a candle and assuming that it will generate a reaction. Context matters: the strength of the displacement, the surrounding structure and the way price returns to the zone can all influence its relevance.
When combined with liquidity and Fair Value Gaps, Order Blocks become part of a broader framework for understanding where price originated, where it may react, and where continuation may develop.

Where Stops Belong on Gold
Stop placement is the most expensive decision in a gold trade, and most traders make it backwards: they pick a pip distance first, then the entry. Do it the other way round.
1) Structure first, pips second. On XAUUSD, a stop belongs beyond a level the market must actually break to invalidate your idea — the sweep of the previous swing high/low, a failed order block, the killzone midpoint. If your level survives a 40-pip fakeout but your stop didn't, your stop was the problem, not your read.
2) Account in dollars, not pips. A 20-pip stop and a 60-pip stop are the same trade if the position size adjusts. Risk a fixed dollar amount per trade (say 0.5-1% of the account), let the structure decide the distance, then size down for wide stops.
3) Never widen a stop mid-trade. Gold will tag a "comfortable" stop almost every London open. Moving it away doesn't remove the loss; it reschedules it at a bigger size.
The entry gets the glory. The stop keeps the account alive.
