There seems to be  glitch with this EA, it won't start any trades but when I close and open MT4 it opens a trade. Sometimes when i press stop auto trading and start auto trading again it will open a trade. is there anyway to check that auto trading is working correctly with this EA and fix the issue where it ill open a trade when I close and restart MT4?

In general, there can be no problem with the launch in the EA.

Problems of this kind can be associated with a terminal freeze or a broken Internet connection, but not from the EA.

I've tested, but it give me several messages thst not permit regularly the tester. These are : "Test generator: unmatched data error (volume limit 253 at 2022.11.23) AND 2021.07.15 09:25 AW Alligator EA usa500 M15 order modify error 130. 

I ask your help to definite these, and i ask if u have thew "preset" for charge directly the correct and prove side to the EA.

This EA uses traling stop and not TakeProfit.

Overlap is used only when working with take profit, adding an overlap is contrary to the strategy of this Expert Advisor.

We checked and see the correct operation of the TrailingStop functionality in both versions of the Expert Advisor (MT4 & MT5).

Immediately from the base - please check if you have auto-trading enabled and if the adviser is allowed to trade. On MT4 and on MT5 a different trailing stop code is used, if you have a problem on both versions, it is better to check everything that is around the adviser, for example, whether the VPS was enabled, etc., etc. Moreover, both trailings are used in my personal trading and show correct operation.

Hello, maybe i'm not understanding something.  I bought this indicator and am testing it to find the right settings. however i'm noticing that despite setting the "Enable Autolot Calculation" to false and setting the order to 0.02, when i test it for several months using the strategy tester, the tests always run short, never reach the final date and a series of Close At Stop trades are visible in the end sending my account to huge losses.  Now i have a number of questions:

1) Why didnt the EA stop these trades from sending the account to huge debts? i'm noticing that in the past there were trades which ended in very small negative amounts due to the sl being triggered but then at the end a series of trades which ended at a loss stopping the testing and the account from continuing...

2) the trades that are being marked as "close at stop" and sending the account to very small balance strangely have huge lots e.g. 0.62 and 0.27, etc...when i set specifically size to 0.02 and disabled the autolot. am i doing something wrong?

...and the final date is never reached of the testing period. this happens on all the pairs. But here i am talking on GBPUSD and i confirmed that i checked that there is enough data in the history because i wanted to make sure that the test is not stopping due to lack of data.

1 - The Expert Advisor does not use SL, this algorithm uses averaging. Pay attention to the fact that in those cases, closings occurred in groups of orders, some of which were profitable, and some were unprofitable.


2 - You need to pay attention to the averaging settings. First of all - "Multiplier for size of orders" is a multiplier for subsequent orders in the group, you can reduce it so that there are no large orders. The next important setting for risk is "Step for pending orders". That is, you need to adjust the step between the market order and the pending one closest to it, this is the most important risk adjustment, if the step is too small, there will be higher risks. After trying the optimization of these two variables, you will immediately notice the difference, regardless of the autorotation.


Also try to test the EA with the "Visualization" mode turned on in order to visually understand its strategy more clearly.

Major errors in this EA. It does not follow the trend, does not close out short or long positions when trend has changed. Notifications has a severe glitch in that for reasons entirely of it's own it decides to constantly send notifications that you can not stop. Makes money sometimes then forgets to follow trend or close out on stops. Beware. This will blow up your equity. Please fix it or stop selling it.

I discovered a bug when backtesting - when one of the option of 'Allow to open OP_Buy' or 'Allow to open OP_Sell' is disabled, namely, when we only want to trade in one direction, the EA will only do one single cycle and thereafter it will stop trading for the rest of the backtest period eventhough the option of "Allow to open new orders after close' is turned ON/True/Allowed. I can confirm the bug is there as I have tested it many times.

Its very frustrating, please sort out the bug for us. I still have not used it on my live account, so I don't know whether the bug will appear if I use it on my live account. 

You can easily identify the bug yourself by doing what I described above, namely, disabled one of the direction and you will see that the EA will stop trading after one single cycle.

I really hope you can sort it out soonest.

Unfortunately, the advisor does not have a trend reversal closing functionality.


The issue with notifications has been fixed, thank you very much for letting me know.
